From this wedding at the Azurmendi restaurant, the photographers of Bodas de People left knowing that Iratxe means fern in Basque. We learned it by chance, thanks to the very nice couple, who could not do more to make our job easier and to bring you these wonderful moments.
Because sometimes, as we already told you, situations are created at the wedding that have a special meaning, they symbolically reflect what happens and how the couple is.
Karlos and Iratxe were kind enough to let us enter the forest (with her dressed as a bride!) and when she told us what her name meant, the photos took on another meaning, surrounded by ferns as if they were completely alone.
We wanted to convey this feeling in the photographs because seeing Iratxe and Karlos together, giving each other affection gives the feeling that a bubble surrounds them, that there are only the two of them, time stops and nothing else matters.
But of course they care about what’s out there, all these shows of affection we could also see with their family and friends. Both during the preparations, the wedding at the Azurmendi restaurant, or when they are alone.
If this Azurmendi wedding reminded us of anything, it is how important it is to take care of each other and never skimp on affection.
All this affection also reached us, and we could not be more grateful for how open they were to all our proposals. They let us take advantage of all the benefits that a wedding ceremony in Bizkaia has for a wedding photographer.
That’s why we try to reflect in images all the atmosphere and above all, as we like, the landscapes that make each wedding unique. We are fortunate to have captured in this wedding traditions, atmosphere and landscape of the Basque Country, which we could see that day in the vineyards of Azurmendi.
We can only thank Iratxe and Karlos again for their patience and understanding, as well as letting us see the magic between them and allowing us to witness those times when they manage to stop time.
