Although the year is already well underway and we have started the 2013 season, we would like to inaugurate our blog by telling you what 2012 was like for us.

Last season was exhausting, yes, we have to say it, there were 32 weddings with their respective pre-weddings and, truth be told, we ended up broken! We are flesh and blood and the years don’t pass in vain… what can we do… In spite of the fatigue and the intensity, it was totally enriching for us both at a professional and human level. As professionals because of the reward of seeing so many couples happy with their wedding photos and videos when we deliver them, because we learn something new from each shoot to apply it in the following ones, because we try not to stagnate, we are constantly learning and that makes us workaholics. We admit it, we are looking forward to more! :)) On the human side it was enriching to deal with so many couples, to live with them the months before their wedding, to share their feelings in the pre-wedding session, their nerves and their excitement on their big day… I don’t know if we will ever be able to explain it well, but, really, there are so many feelings that come to the surface at a wedding… that being able to have the sensitivity to realize that, to understand it and give it shape through our work… I think it makes us special; not only to us, but to all of us, but also to all of us. wedding photographers who get it. Moreover, now, all this makes a lot more sense because, as many of you already know, we have been sweethearts too! :)) Yes, we got married in February and so now we understand many of the moments that happen around us on a wedding day and it makes us more alert so that nothing escapes us. And, not only that, we also understand you when you doubt whether to do one thing or another, when you are tense, when you need to disconnect… Because we have experienced all of this ourselves. Despite having been in the wedding business for several years, nothing compares to the first-hand experience of everything that a wedding entails.

So as you can see, a lot has happened during these months…and we hope you will forgive us for the temporary abandonment ;) Surely it has been worth it because now we come loaded with energy to give you the tabarra with everything that we are living.

But well, let’s get sidetracked… you want to know more about our wedding, eh? ;) Haha. We didn’t think it would generate so much expectation, but the truth is that it was overwhelming all the people who followed our wedding through social networks thanks to
Storybook Weddings
. Do you know them? We hope so, because if not you don’t know what you’re missing…. For the most clueless we will tell you that they are unconventional wedding planners, they call themselves Cuenti Wendy, Cuenti Jose and Cuenti Marina, and they define themselves as follows: “we are not a wedding planner anymore… but this way it’s more fun! It was extraordinary to count on them in the organization of our wedding. We’re not going to lie to you, it took us a little while to decide whether to hire them or not, but when I was one of the students at the first first wedding planner workshop that they gave at
Josephine House
and they hired Daniel to take the photos for that course, things changed radically. It only took us the first two hours until the first coffee to look at Daniel and I and say: “I can’t imagine our wedding without them“. Before lunch on Sunday, we were alone with Wendy and Jose and we told them “we want to be storybook brides and grooms!” Wen’s face was a poem, it was like relief but at the same time amazed; poor thing, she thought we didn’t want to have a fairytale wedding…. Months before, without knowing each other at all, we had asked them for an estimate, but we still didn’t know when or where we were going to get married, so things were put on standby… And, in November, when we met at the workshop Wendy said to Jose the first night: “Jo, Dani and Glo don’t want us for their wedding”. We feel very sorry for anyone who might think that! Of course we wanted to! And, as it turns out, it was. We had a wedding party! Our special love party! And we’ll be sweethearts for the rest of our lives! Wen told us that this title was forever ;) But anyway, we never knew the importance of a wedding planner until we had ours. We’ll tell you why in the next post, as this one is getting too long; but we’ll summarize it for you: having a wedding planner at your wedding, success is guaranteed! ;)

As we don’t want you to stop reading us on the first day, we are going to finish… From now on we will try to tell you new things, besides our work and livelihood, weddings, we also do a lot of other things that we would like to share with you so… come and see!

Welcome to our blog and thank you once and a thousand times for following us so closely! :))

A big hug!
