“Life without music would be an error” Friedrich Nietzsche
Going on honeymoon in Iceland is input uncommon.
It is a place that feeds the senses. Its overwhelming beauty to the eyes, the touch of pure ice, the smell of sulfur heated houses, wild fish like best.
However, what made us to return sight Iceland was the sense of hearing. From the island sounds that were coming straight to the soul.
For me (Daniel) and to almost everyone, music is the way I manage my emotions and feelings.
Sigur Ros discovered in 2003, in my years of college. Svefn-G-Englar, a song that was included on the soundtrack to Vanilla Sky. 10 years I’ve been listening to that song and every day I continue to fill.
Music lover as I am, I followed this group unconditionally. Every new song I heard, each new album they published more connected with me.
Everything changed when in 2007 they decided to finish their world tour traveling the country by car and boat. Would visit the places that have shaped the identity of their land and they would play there that feel they should. And they decided to record everything in a documentary. Heima. I will not see anything more beautiful and so perfect. I am dedicated to the audiovisual world for things like this documentary. Here you have one of my favorite passages.
Heima saw and knew I had to go to that place. I waited for the perfect opportunity to do so.
When you get to Iceland, when you immerse yourself in its beauty, you understand that you can not do other music that they do.
I am not objective. Not with Iceland, Sigur Ros nor. Here we show you the pictures of our first contact with the most beautiful place I have seen our eyes.
