Brenda and Iñigo’s wedding at Finca Machoenia: when life is a dance.
We met on September 3rd, back in 2014. Almost nothing ago. It all started when our friend Íñigo broke his foot and made it possible for us to meet.
And so it all began.
Not at a romantic dinner, not on a planned date, not on an exotic trip. It started with a broken foot, with an unexpected twist of fate, with chance, putting everything in its place.
Since then, they have not stopped dancing.
And what better way to celebrate its history than at a place like Machoenia Estate.
Machoenia: a corner with soul in the French Basque Country
There are beautiful farms, but then there are the ones that surround you.
Finca Machoenia is one of those.
A farmhouse in the French Basque Country, with a light that seems designed for weddings, with a garden that feels more intimate than it really is, with corners that invite you to linger.
The Nivelle River flows by, as if it were also invited to the party.
And in the middle of it all, Brenda and Iñigo.
Two people who cannot imagine life without music, without synchronized steps, without the rhythm they have found together.
A dress by Alicia Rueda for a bride that seemed to float
Brenda walked in as if the music was already playing.
With a dress by Alicia Ruedaour favorite designer, one of those who know how to make magic with fabric.
The light skirt, the perfect movement, as if every seam was designed for her.
And when Iñigo saw her, there was no doubt.
This was already a movie.
A dance that never stopped
From the first glance to the last toast, everything flowed like a choreography without rehearsal.
The votes were a reflection of them:
“You are a couple who have known how to pace your dance steps. That you know when each of you should lead the rhythm and when it is better for the other to lead.”
There could be no better way to describe them.
They have taught each other how to dance, and have decided to do it forever.
Julia Tellechea ‘s flowers and Zuriñe’s music: when everything comes together
Nothing that happened that day would have been the same without those who provided the perfect soundtrack and set.
Julia Tellechea, with a floral design that seemed to be taken from an enchanted forest. Every corner had life, every table was a small garden, every detail was in its place without seeming to be thought out.
And Zuriñe from Penny Lane, our favorite DJ, who understood better than anyone that this wedding had to be lived on the dance floor.
Because this could not be just any wedding.
This had to be a dance.
