Marina & Jona’s wedding at Finca la Estación in Segovia

Sometimes, life puts people in front of you without big introductions. They arrive quietly. They stay. And one day, without really knowing when it happened, you realize that you can’t imagine your world without them.

That’s Marina for me.

One of those people who do not make noise, but are always there. In a message with a song, in an after-hours ❤️‍🩹, in those small gestures that, without looking for it, support you.

And it’s not just the personal. It’s also what inspires. Because if one day I am asked what kind of person I would like my children to become, the answer is easy: like Marina.

Honest. Responsible. A hard worker who does not boast. One of those who give their all, in silence and with a smile that, in addition, is one of the good ones. One of those who do things with a big heart and hands always ready.

That’s why, when it was my turn to tell her story with Jona, my legs trembled a little. I’m not going to lie: I felt like I was doing the wedding of my own daughter, of someone with whom there is so much connection that it is impossible to put on that professional distance that sometimes protects.

365 days have passed. A year since that May 18. And I still hadn’t shared hardly any photos. Not because I didn’t think they were enough. But because, for me, they were too much. Too personal. Too full of everything that sometimes does not fit in an image.

Many of the things that were said that day still echo in my head. Big and solemn phrases. And others, much simpler. Of those that, precisely because they are so simple, stick with you forever.

That day I understood -once again- that we are not only chosen for who we are, but for everything that has brought us here. For what our parents, grandparents, friends, stumbles, laughs and even the days when you thought you couldn’t handle it all.

And there they were. Marina and Jona. Built of all that. Of patience, of humor, of unconditional affection.

One example. For me, for sure. And I hope, from the bottom of my heart, to continue sharing many more days with them. Of the big ones, yes, but above all, of those small ones that are everything.

You arrive. You look. And you think: But what is this place?
Because it is not a farm. It is a blow to the chest. A place you don’t visit, you survive.
The farm La Estación, in Otero de Herreros, Segovia, is that kind of scenery that does not need flowers to be beautiful or speeches to move you.
An old brick factory, iron that creaks when you look at it and an afternoon light that sounds like a movie soundtrack.

A wedding at Finca La Estación is not just a day. It is a declaration of principles.
You don’t come here to pose. Here we come to feel. To break the schemes, to mix elegance with Converse and toasts with tears that do not warn.
History in every brick, modernity that does not ask for permission.

And the best part? When you thought you would have to get lost on secondary roads, wham: 35 minutes from Madrid.
Just enough to escape without disappearing. A wedding farm near Madrid that tastes like a hideaway, but with Google Maps working.
And if the night overflows -because it will- and the shoes no longer remember their size, don’t worry: this is also an estate with accommodation for weddings in Segovia.
You sleep where you toast. With a happy hangover and no clock on the bedside table.

Finca La Estación: weddings near Madrid:

The ceremony did not begin. It exploded.
The banquet was not a banquet. It was an emotional assault.

The walls creaked with secrecy, the light bulbs flickered as if they were toasting too, and the tables… ah, the tables.
They were not decoration, they were trenches of glances that said more than words.

This is an industrial style wedding in Segovia.
Cruda. Brutal. Unrepeatable.

And in the meantime, La Estación farm is there, silent, knowing that it has just slipped into all your memories.
That you will not forget it even if you try. Because there are places that you step on…
And others that step on you.
